A study in surrender, discovery, and finding purpose where none was planned.
Soulhaven began as an experiment in letting go. Created during Vincent’s early exploration of pouring and splatter techniques, the piece was intentionally made without rules, boundaries, or a predetermined image. The goal was simply to remove restriction, allow the paint to move freely, and see what emerged.
What emerged was unexpectedly evocative: a surface reminiscent of the moon, filled with ghostly, almost weightless forms that seem to drift through the composition without boundaries. The figures and textures feel suspended between the physical and the spiritual, giving the piece an otherworldly presence.
In that way, the painting became a reflection of its own creation. What began without direction gradually revealed a sense of purpose and meaning that could never have been planned. Soulhaven becomes a meditation on the journey of a soul on Earth—beginning without knowing where it is going, moving freely through the unknown, and ultimately discovering a purpose greater than what could have been imagined at the start.
